Trip to the Zoo

Ingredients

  • A local zoo or wildlife centre

Description

This activity is suitable for all ages of children, but for babies it introduces them to a wide variety of animals with different sounds and colours.

As children become older you can use it as an opportunity to talk about the different animals and how they live. You'll find that these days most  zoos and wildlife parks are geared towards children in any case, so more than likely you'll find hands on displays, demonstrations including 'feed the animals', and quizzes/questionaires for children to complete.

If you feel a bit more adventurous you could devise a treasure hunt or quiz yourself (refer to our Treasure Hunt page)
