At Grannies United we take a particular interest in Granny Smith apples.

Apparently there are many other admirers of this classic apple, in a recent news article Sarah Owen of The Northwestern interviewed a likeminded lover of the Granny Smith. 

"You can make all kinds of apple things — apple pie, Dutch apple pie, streusel, turnovers, apple fritters," said Betty Schoenberger, owner of Oshkosh-based Schoenberger's Pastry Shops. "They taste good, and most everybody likes apples."
