Ice-Skating Granny Wins Hearts at Las Vegas

Ice Skating Granny ImageSheila Cluff the ice skating grandma has returned to high performance ice skating by performing at the 2007 Ice Skating Institute Adult Championships in September.  Sheila retired from professional ice skating forty five years ago, when she was one of the top international ice skaters.  The grandmother was quoted in Ron Kotowski’s interview as saying "I kind of thought it would just be fun to do a little ice dancing".

In his interesting article for the Las Vegas Sun Ron explains how there is however a lot more to grandma Sheila. Ron explains how Sheila was a forward thinker who developed an ice skating equivalent of aerobics and can still wear the costumes she wore in her 20s!

We wish her all the best from granniesunited.com (especially as her closest competitor is 20 years younger!)
