Grannies Are Saving the US and UK Parents Billions in Child Care Costs

There are millions of grannies acting as full-time child carers in both the UK and USA. A recent television program on the UK BBC One channel highlighted the fact that billions of dollars were being saved on child care costs by these granny nannies.

Although this is ok in many cases, there are numerous other cases when regrettably babysitting the grandkids has become a chore. Many parents are forced to leave their children with the grandparents to ensure that they can make enough money to pay the bills.  Surely as developed nations we must be able to give these parents more tax breaks to avoid putting strain on the family. This has become a bigger issue as the baby boom generation of grandparents demand a better work life balance than the previous generation of grandparents.
