Grannies in Cyberspace
A recent news article has been telling the world what all of us at granniesunited.com already know.
The article has been explaining that older people are already online. In fact it quotes the statistic that "the number of internet users who are older than 55 is roughly the same as those who are aged 18 to 34", according to Nielsen/NetRatings, a market research firm.
Susan Ayers Walker, a freelance technology journalist for AARP and founder of SmartSilvers Alliance which offers consultant service to businesses looking to connect with older consumers quotes, "venture capitalists and entrepreneurs have been slow to embrace the interests of older internet users". At GranniesUnited, we know that the babyboomers, especially the grandmothers, are often active online and are very internet savvy.
