Raging Grannies & Anti-War Protesting
Last week in Capitola, California, 10 protesters were arrested at an anti-war rally as things got out of hand.
What is so unusual about this?
Well… the rabble-rousers belonged to the Raging Grannies of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, who were campaigning against the war in Iraq
One of the detained was a 64 year old granny called Phyllis Greenleaf who stated there had "been enough bloodshed, and we are outraged". Some of the other protesters arrested included an 81 year-old Raging Granny and another who was caught trying to make a swift and rather sneaky getaway with her walker.
