Why is this one of the great Christmas cold alcoholic fruit party punch recipes?

This easy party punch recipe has been passed to us from an English member of granniesunited.  This alcoholic punch is definitely not one for your grandchildren (unless they are old enough).  The punch is quick and easy to make and we love it for parties.   We also find that this alcoholic party punch is great for using up lots of leftover alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from Christmas Day (eg half empty fruit juices etc).  If you disagree with us please email admin@grannieunited.com. 

Ingredients for the best English cold alcoholic fruit party punch recipe
• 1 measure of Gin
• 4 measures of Lemonade
• 1 measure of Orange Juice
• 1 measure of Apple Juice
• Lots of ice
• Sliced oranges and lemons
• Plus any other tasty drinks leftover from Christmas (eg cranberry juice, white wine)

How to make the quick and easy English cold alcohol fruit punch
This is easy, just mix it all together.  It is usually best to put the ice and lemonade in first to avoid excess bubbles.

How to present the best cold Christmas alcoholic fruit punch drink
This is simple. Ideally you will present it in a large crystal bowl with lots of ice and sliced fruit (whatever is left over from Christmas).  You may also wish to add some mint leaves as a finishing touch.  Although small crystal punch glasses are ideal, we often end up using paper cups to make clearing up quick and easy.

Other party punches: Christmas cold alcoholic punch with champagne
Same as above except add any remaining bottles of Champagne or bubbly (eg Cava).   We prefer not to waste good quality Champagne by doing this, but it is useful if you have some half finished bottles left over from the Christmas dinner party.

Other party punches: Christmas cold alcohol punch with vodka
Replacing the gin with vodka in the above recipe helps create an alternative punch for those guests who are not fans of gin.  We however prefer the gin version.

Replacing the gin with rum in the above recipe helps create an alternative punch for those guests who are not fans of gin.  This punch has more of a Caribbean feel and also suits summer parties.  Again, we however prefer the gin version.

Other party punches: Red Christmas cold alcohol punch ?
We have never actually tried this one out, so we would be grateful for any feedback.  A friend of mine takes the above recipe and adds red food coloring.  Somebody else has said to use raspberry lemonade.  We have no idea if it works, so please email admin@granniesunited.com if you have tried it.
